Finding a Tax Representative

If you are looking for help with your unpaid taxes (or unfiled tax returns), you may have heard the advertisements for tax resolution firms on TV, the radio, in the newspaper, on the internet, Facebook, or TikTok. Who or what do you believe?

In general, you can be represented by a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Tax Attorney or an Enrolled Agent (EA). You also can represent yourself before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or a state taxing agency. If you are uncomfortable – or do not have the time – you may wish to hire someone to represent you.

If you have outstanding tax debts, you will want to find someone experienced in handling collection issues (representation or account resolution). This type of work can be far-reaching and the number of firms providing these services has expanded during the past ten plus years.

Many individuals who practice in this area have gained their knowledge through professional training continuing education courses. At Dan Randall and Associates, we gained our knowledge by first working at the IRS for a combined total of 42 years plus an additional 30+ years representing clients. [Note: It has only been in the past four (4) years that we developed a web-presence on both Yelp and Google.]

Please check out our biographical information on both our website and Yelp. IRS procedures and practices change; however, there is acquired knowledge as former employees that makes our skills invaluable to clients seeking a resolution to their outstanding tax debts.
